The Cato Institute’s Ilya Shapiro joins Matt Kibbe to explain the process of adding justices to the Supreme Court works. With many fearing that Joe Biden plans to “pack the court” to compensate for the three justices Donald Trump was able to appoint, Shapiro explains that there is not a reasonable chance of that happening, at least in the next two years. Even if the Senate ends up a 50-50 split, Kamala Harris will not have the power to override Senate procedure to force through a court packing bill.
