Minnesota Shooting Case: These New Details Raise Even MORE Questions

The federal affidavit detailing Vance Boelter’s alleged attacks on Minnesota lawmakers reveals he meticulously planned his actions, targeting four DFL legislators’ homes in a single night. He first visited state Sen. John Hoffman’s home in Champlin, then Rep. Kristin Bahner’s in Maple Grove, followed by state Sen. Ann Rest’s in New Hope, and finally Rep. Melissa Hortman’s in Brooklyn Park, where he killed Hortman and her husband. In his fake police SUV, abandoned at Hortman’s residence, authorities found three AK-47 rifles, a 9mm handgun, a ballistic vest, and notebooks with over 45 public officials’ names and a chilling text message he sent to family stating, “Dad went to war last night.” A search of his wife’s car uncovered two handguns, $10,000 in cash, and passports, hinting at possible escape plans. Following his final stop at Hortman’s residence, where he exchanged gunfire with officers, Boelter was apprehended after a manhunt when he surrendered to police near his home.
