Ketel Marte, a Major League Baseball player with a $116 million contract, broke down crying at second base after a fan allegedly heckled him about his mom, who passed away eight years ago. The fan has now been banned from every MLB park in the country, even though we still don’t know exactly what was said. Sympathy aside, is sobbing mid-game and sparking an on-field apology tour really the bar now? There’s no crying in baseball… unless you’re wearing cleats and earning a massive salary.
