BREAKING: Medical Examiner Says George Floyd Death Should Have Been Ruled An Overdose

CORRECTION: While medical examiner Andrew Baker did testify that had George Floyd been found in another context with the amount of Fentanyl in his system when he died, it could have been ruled a death by overdose, he later clarified his comments by saying the following:

“My opinion remains unchanged, it’s what I put on the death certificate last June. That’s cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint and neck compression. That was my top line then, it would stay my top line now…I would still classify it as a homicide today,” Baker added.

To be clear, Baker qualifies George Floyd’s death as a homicide. We regret any confusion this post may have caused.
