The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith issued a doctrinal note on November 4, 2025 called Mater Populi Fidelis. It clarifies official teaching of the church regarding titles, roles and traditions associated with Mary, and it officially excludes the use of the titles co-redemptrix and mediatrix.
