Netflix removed an episode of “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj” in Saudi Arabia after the government said the show violated a state anti-cybercrime law. The episode was a critical of the Saudi government’s involvement in the death of columnist Jamal Khashoggi and the war in Yemen. In a statement, Netflix defended the decision to pull the segment and said: “we strongly support artistic freedom and removed this episode only in Saudi Arabia after we had received a valid legal request and to comply with local law.” Investigative journalist Ben Swann joins Steve Malzberg to discuss the details.
