Nik Day is from Idaho Falls, ID, and performs an original Christmas song, “A Savior is Born,” in this video.

“I’d never written a Christmas song before and it seemed like a challenge,” Day said of his song. “The approach that I took with this song is that I thought of Christ as a child, knowing that was he was going to do was so great. I wanted to focus on that aspect.”

Day’s unique voice and crisp guitar work complement the lyrics of his song extremely well, and it’s a touching piece for someone’s first-ever attempt at writing Christmas music.

Music has always been a huge part of Day’s life. By the time he was just 16, he’d written a book of piano solos and sold them to piano teachers in his hometown of Idaho Falls.
