“Father’s Blessing”, “We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet”, and “Springtime” – Jason Lyle Black
Music doesn’t always need lyrics in order to speak. Jason Lyle Black came to Mormon Channel Studio to perform a few of his piano arrangements, including two original songs and a classic hymn.
His first song, “Father’s Blessing,” captures the quiet feeling of gratitude that fills his heart when he thinks of the blessings God has granted us, His children. In his arrangement of “We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet,” Jason included a few measures of the “Onward Christian Soldiers” tune to enforce the feeling of marching with the prophet. “Springtime” reflects his love of the warmth that follows the winter season.
