Escaping Poverty: Community Chicken Project

Lucienne’s house was destroyed after an earthquake, leaving her with nothing. She was unable to provide for herself, and she didn’t have any sort of employment. The community began a humanitarian project that offered chickens, supplies, and training to participants so that they could start their own business. Lucienne received 100 chickens and six months’ worth of food. Working has given Lucienne a new sense of hope and purpose.
