Do you remember word math problems? During a visit to a local school, Pat Gray witnessed something that needs to be addressed especially if you have a kid in middle school. The school handed out a word math problem to parents that kids would be solving on stage, but Pat realized that the word math problem took students 10 minutes because they were using Common Core math. When did Common Core return? Why are we teaching new math to kids?
