Episode 11 is about a crippled beggar who got dumped outside the temple every morning to beg. Peter and John are broke, but they get his attention anyway and tell him they’ve got something better than money. Normally that would be a lead in to a direct marketing pitch, but in this case what they […]
In the second half of this two-part episode we’ll hear about how the people who witnessed the Day of Pentecost respond to Peter’s call to repent, and we’ll consider a day of freakish growth in the early church. In the first half of this two-part episode we’ll hear what advice Peter had for all the people who wanted to respond to the miracle at the Day of Pentecost and to what they just heard about Jesus. Peter’s message isn’t overly complex; in so many words, he tells them to change their course. In […]
Here in episode 8 I take a look at Peter’s message to the people who witnessed the miracle at the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2:14-36. It’s Peter’s first big public speech and he’s a guy who’s had a tendency to fold under pressure in the past. How will Peter do this time around? Also […]

Also there’s complaining about a horrible intersection in Montana and drunk […]

Acts 1:1-5 is like that. In this episode, we’ll look at what Luke has to […]
This is the second episode in my series on the book of Acts and the second half of my introduction on the subject. Enjoy!
