Singer and songwriter Emily Bea talks about how music was a part of her family as a child. Music helped her get through hard challenges and cope. Growing up Emily had her sights set on playing soccer. Before tryouts in high school Emily torn ACL. For nine months she spent time healing and recovering. Then two months later she tore it again. It was demoralizing and frustrating. It was then that Emily turned to music.

In high school Emily began to write songs that expressed what she was feeling. After realizing she couldn’t keep playing soccer she had to think about what her purpose was. She took a leap of faith and wrote her first album in high school.

Emily also shares her insights about mental health and trials. Faith and hope that things will work out someday. Emily’s encouragement and hope rings through her music and lyrics.
