In May 2020, Attorney General William Barr declared that special counsel John Durham’s investigation was not focused on former Vice President Joe Biden.

In his new book, Barr has now revealed that he made that statement in response to a series of Trump tweets that Biden had “led the charge” on the FBI’s Russiagate investigation.

Barr said it was unacceptable for Trump to drag his upcoming presidential election opponent into the Russiagate scandal.

But Barr’s statement stands in stark contrast to his decision to remain silent after Biden falsely blamed his son Hunter’s laptop story on a “Russian plot” during the second presidential debate.

Barr now claims he was shocked that Biden lied to the American public, calling Biden’s actions “election interference.”

By speaking out against Trump and remaining silent on Biden, Barr put his thumb on the election scale, leading to material ramifications for our country.
