During his interview with CBS’ Margaret Brennan, Mayorkas avoided explaining whether the individual had been radicalized before entering the U.S. Instead, he gave vague remarks about DHS’ broad responsibilities and the limitations of point-in-time vetting. His lack of a direct response raises serious concerns about the Biden-Harris administration’s ability to safeguard national security. Even after impeachment, Mayorkas continues to sidestep pressing issues rather than address the flaws in the vetting process head-on.
