A federal appeals court has issued a ruling that Mexico has the right to sue gun manufacturers in the United States. The Mexican lawsuit is going after U.S. gun companies, accusing them of being responsible for gun violence in Mexico. The head of an anti-gun-violence group wrote an op-ed in Newsweek last week that details some of the real purpose behind the move—suggesting it’s likely meant as an alternative method of restricting firearms in the United States.
