“Shadows” and “Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful”

Doug Bush wrote his song “Shadows” after going on a “family history vacation” that brought him closer to his ancestors. He performs that song, along with the Christmas hymn “Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful” in this episode of Mormon Channel Studio.

On his vacation, Doug visited sites that were significant in the lives of his family from generations ago. The lyric “shadows find a place with me inside” describes the deep connection he felt with those who had sacrificed much to provide opportunities for their posterity, including him.
