FEMA paused relief efforts in North Carolina over the weekend, blaming roving militias putting FEMA employees at risk. However, Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker says only one individual was arrested, and his motive is unknown. Baker has been with Savage Freedoms, a group of retired military personnel who are coordinating Hurricane Helene relief efforts in cooperation with residents of Western North Carolina. Baker says Savage Freedoms is putting federal agencies to shame, leading to some spread of actual misinformation for the agencies to save face.
