When Katie became a single mother following an unplanned pregnancy, she couldn’t have imagined the impact her unplanned pregnancy and adoption story would have on her faith and others’. She allowed a family to adopt her infant daughter—a choice that was made with pure love in her heart. Her experience is a reminder that such love is available to everyone only through the grace of Jesus Christ.

“Through [His grace] I have been able to forgive myself of my mistakes and be happy now and really have hope for my future and for the future of my little girl,” Katie says. “It’s incredible.” Katie signed away her parental rights on Christmas Eve morning. She was faced with the trial of a lifetime, but she found strength through prayer and faith.

“You can either become bitter or you can become better through God.”
