“If They Don’t Pay I’m Not Going to Defend Them” Trump Blasts NATO Countries Not Paying Enough

“Do you think they’re going to come and protect us? They’re supposed to. I’m not so sure,” said President Donald Trump on Thursday, referring to a hypothetical scenario where the U.S. would ask for help from NATO countries, to make the point that they need to pay more if they want the U.S. to continue to provide security to other nations.
