Making our kid’s fort official with a sign made out of a fence post
Lots of fun making signs with the kids to put up around the property.
We bought an 8 foot fence post at Home Depot, cut into 18 inch lengths. We notched off the corners for a nice effect and let the kids prime and paint these with the extra killz primer and white paint we had leftover from the farm stand.
Then we rolled craft paper out onto the dining table and gave each kid a sign and some acrylic paint pens and just asked for property signs. Margo chose to make one for her fort. The kids went to town decorating both the craft paper on the table and making signs.
Check out her beloved and rustic fort in the woods behind our house!
We screwed the board into an extra long steak Will hammered into the ground then gave it a quick spray with some clear sealant so it’ll last.
