House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) remarked on Thursday that St. Pope John Paul II would not have approved of President Trump’s “use of tear gas” to scatter protesters. Pelosi added she hopes Trump would turn toward healing after seeing him pose with a Bible in front of St. John’s church.
