Sen. Lankford: Dems’ COVID-19 Bill Would ‘Encourage’ Low-Wage Workers to Stay on Unemployment

Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) laid out on the Senate floor Wednesday how the Democrats’ COVID-19 relief bill could incentivize some furloughed workers to not return to work by extending unemployment benefits through next Spring. Some low-wage workers are currently making more on unemployment than at their previous jobs.
