TOURIST TRAPPED! Vacationers Rescued After Being Stuck in Grand Canyon Caverns Overnight
Who knew the expression was literal? A group of eight tourists found themselves stuck 200 feet underground at Grand Canyon Caverns in Peach Springs, Arizona, last Sunday when the elevator stopped working. Firefighters were able to assist the husband and wife with escorting their two children up the emergency stairway (with a perilous drop on one side) that night, while the remaining four were evacuated the following day.
