AOC: Rep. Ted Yoho’s Insults Contribute to Culture of ‘Violent Language Against Women’

Speaking at a House session on Thursday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stated that while she did not find Rep. Ted Yoho’s (R-FL) remarks to her on Tuesday particularly hurtful, she believes it was not an isolated incident. “It is cultural. It is a culture of lack of impunity, of accepting of violence and violent language against women, and an entire structure of power that supports that,” she said.
