Rep. Jim Jordan (R-UT) received a standing ovation from his Republican colleagues when he stood to nominate Leader Kevin McCarthy for house speaker on Tuesday.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) lit up her “friend” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) among others saying she learned he was among three Republicans demanding for positions or favors ahead of the speaker vote on Tuesday. The other two she mentioned were Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) and Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX).

“We may have a battle on the floor, but the battle is for the conference and the country and that’s fine with me,” said Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as the vote for House Speaker comes down to the wire.

“Sometimes a drunk driving arrest will land right in front of you… literally,” read the caption on the dashcam footage posted by the Lansing Police Department in Michigan. The driver, somehow, only incurred minor injuries, and was arrested for driving under the influence.
