As a police officer was holding alleged shoplifters at gunpoint, a baby kitten, apparently belonging to one of the suspects, ran right towards the police officer, meowing for attention. The suspect — accused of shoplifting and threatening employees with a hatchet — was arrested, and the kitten was rescued.

The Houston Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man who stole another man’s vehicle by demanding (in Spanish) the driver get out of the vehicle. The stolen vehicle was involved in an accident the next day and fled the scene.
