Cotton at Southwest Border: Almost Every Migrant I’ve Spoken with Said They Came for Better Job




“[These migrants] didn’t say they came [to the U.S.] because they’re facing persecution because of their race, or their ethnicity, or their political views, or their religion. They want a better job. That’s not grounds for asylum,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said as he stood at the Southwest border Friday, warning of a worsening migrant crisis.
