‘Fatal Conceit’: Rand Paul Torches Health Officials for Spreading ‘Undue Fear’ over Coronavirus

While testifying before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pension (HELP) Tuesday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) warned the public against trusting top U.S. infectious disease experts, saying: “Ultimately this all comes down to the fatal conceit that central planners have enough knowledge somehow to tell a nation of 330 million people what they can and can’t do.”
