Firefighter Locates Missing Dog with Drone in “Christmas Miracle” Find

A firefighter in Devens, MA, recently took action with his drone after seeing a missing dog notice. Firefighter Robert Curran, a member of the Harvard Police Department drone team, used his skills to search an empty field for over an hour when he spotted a heat signature and recognized it as the missing dog. A friend of the dog’s owner was able to reach the dog, whose leash was stuck to a bush. “Since he couldn’t really move, he would’ve been in rough shape if he spent another day stuck to the bush. The temperatures have been well below freezing overnight, and only getting colder. Another couple of days, and he might’ve been in grave danger,” Curran told Storyful. The dog was fed and taken back to the owner. “It was a really nice moment, like a Christmas miracle!”
