FL Officer SAVED by 3 Doses of Narcan after ACCIDENTAL FENTANYL EXPOSURE
“IT WAS A DOLLAR BILL” — Tavares Police Department released shocking body camera footage after the aftermath of a traffic stop that led to a female officer being exposed to fentanyl. Officer Courtney Bannick had to be given the life-saving, drug overdose reversal medication Narcan three times after she came into contact with a dollar bill inside the pulled-over vehicle that contained traces of Fentanyl. Throughout the footage, Bannick can be seen drifting in and out of consciousness, causing other officers to administer even more medication as she awaited an ambulance. “I have done this 100 times before the same way. It only takes one time and a minimal amount,” Bannick told the NY Post, “I’m thankful I wasn’t alone and had immediate help.” Bannick has made a full recovery.
