OUT OF JAIL FOR JUST 36 HRS — Concord police officer Timothy Larson was investigating a possible auto theft at a Nissan dealership when he found Brandon Combs near a Nissan Frontier. Combs eventually abandoned the truck and entered Larson’s police SUV. Larson fired multiple shots at Combs. The suspect was hospitalized, but succumbed to his injuries. According to the DA’s office, Combs had been released from jail about 36 hours prior. He reportedly had a felony fugitive warrant pending from another state and multiple felony convictions on record.
