“I Can't Breathe!” Cries Out Suspect After Shooting at Houston Police
On November 17th, Houston Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by suspect Anthony J. Garcia until Garcia’s vehicle “struck an object” and spun around, coming to face the patrol vehicle in pursuit, according to the Houston Police Department. The suspect then began shooting at officers, at which point Houston Police returned fire. After an exchange of gunfire, the suspect desperately called for help. An officer dragged the suspect out of the car, and as the suspect was being arrested, he repeatedly exclaimed, “I can’t breathe.”
