Kari Lake Shuts Down Media over Attack by Mother of Capitol Officer Who Died of Natural Causes

A CBS reporter asked Arizona’s gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake (R) for her response to an attack ad featuring Gladys Sicknick, the mother of Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick, who died after January 6, 2022, saying that people like Kari Lake are responsible for her son’s death. “I am so sorry about the death of your son… it breaks my heart… so I don’t want to disparage her,” Lake said adding that she doesn’t know Sicknick and that she was nowhere near the Capitol Building on that day.
