Man Proposes after Finding Lost Engagement Ring amid TX Tornado Wreckage

SILVER LINING — After losing almost everything to a tornado in Powderly, TX, Dakota Hudson was able to propose to his girlfriend, Lauren Patterson, with the engagement ring he believed was lost forever. With the help of the Paris Junior College softball team, one teammate miraculously found the engagement ring in the mud underneath debris. “I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal,” said Patterson. “It was truly one of the most remarkable things we have witnessed. Congrats to the newly engaged couple,” said Melaina Lopez, a member of the softball team that helped find the lost engagement ring.
