Police Rescue Dog Left by Owners in Very Hot U-Haul Truck

New Smyrna Beach police officers, in Florida, found and rescued a dog that was left in a very hot U-haul truck by its owners as they went to the beach. Officers estimated that the temperature inside the vehicle was “likely 100 degrees or more.” The dog was taken to a local animal shelter and the owners had charging affidavits issued to them.
