Squirrels Seen “Splooting” to Beat the Texas Heat

It’s just one of those days… During a severe heatwave in central Texas, wildlife including squirrels resorted to “splooting” — lying with their bellies pressed on cool surfaces — in an attempt to lower their body temperatures.
