U of Tennessee Students March Goal Post Through Streets After Win, Followed by Police Cruisers

After a huge win against the University of Alabama, University of Tennessee students took to the streets carrying pieces of the goalpost from Neyland Stadium followed by a line of police in Knoxville, TN. Chaos first ensued on the field following the win when students began to climb and break off the field goal posts. Other videos show the euphoric crowd eventually hurling the post into a nearby river. Following the incident, the University of Tennessee is asking for donations in order to replace the broken down goal posts. “Y’all remember how we tore the goalposts down, hauled em out of Neyland and dumped em in the Tennessee River?” tweeted the school. “Yeah that was awesome. Anywho, turns out that in order to play next week’s game, we need goalposts on our field. Could y’all help us out?” The Southeastern Conference has fined the school $100,000 for the celebration.
